You are cordially invited to this year’s Philosophy Haunted Tour! 👻

Who? Anyone! The tour is family friendly and open to the public.

What? A tour made up of 4-6 micro-lectures (approx. 5-minutes) about a dead philosopher’s ideas (collect free candy along the way!).

When? 🗓️ Tuesday, October 27th, from 6-8pm

Where?📍Grise Hall (tours begin in the fifth-floor lobby)

Why? Because philosophy is fun and good for everyone!

Bring ➡️ Your thinking cap! Just show up anytime between 6-8pm to get a tour. Costumes are not required (but are encouraged!).

What exactly is on the Kentucky ballot this November?

Join us October 14 for a discussion with Kentucky State Senator Chris McDaniel about the proposed constitutional amendment on this year’s ballot.

The amendment would limit the Governor’s ability to grant pardons of commuters sentenced beginning 60 days before a gubernatorial election and continuing until the Governor is sworn into office for the new term.

Come learn more about the amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and what this proposed change could mean for the Governor’s clemency powers.

We’re excited to introduce the newest members of the Topper Fella family: Voter Fellas in both red and blue.

Students can get EARLY ACCESS to these new Fellas at Dr. Jeffery Budziak’s presentation, “America at 250: The Constitution- Past & Present,” from 3:30-5:00 pm in DSU room 1037.

The first 100 students who arrive before the presentation begins will receive a voucher for a Voter Fellas, which can be redeemed at the end of the event.

Meet this week’s Alumni Spotlight: Derek Woodruff!

Derek graduated from WKU in 2023 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Biology. He then went on to earn his Masters in Public Administration from WKU in 2024, along with a certificate in Local Government Administration. Today, he works as a Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Louisville.

We’re proud to celebrate Derek’s accomplishments and excited to see how he continues to build on his MPA education throughout his career! 🎓❤️
