Beta Gamma Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta

Even though we missed Advisor Appreciation Month by a day, we still wanted to show how much we appreciate our wonderful chapter advisor!

Major: Early Childhood Education
Plans after college: moving back home, to Columbus and finding a job there.
Quote about her Gamma Phi Beta experience: "Coming to Bowling Green, I thought I had found my second home, I was wrong. I found my home away from home when I joined Gamma Phi Beta. It is in Gamma Phi Beta that I have found my group of lifelong friends and that I gained leadership experience. Through these leadership experiences, I have gained confidence that I will have for the rest of my life. It is in Gamma Phi Beta that I have found my true self and I will never forget the experiences that I was lucky enough to be part of in the past three years as a collegiate member."

We spy Caitlin, the CLC that was with us every time we got a CLC this year! We also spy our one-time visiting CLC Megan from the beginning of the year!

We are so thankful for you two and all the help, love, friendship, support and advice you've given the Beta Gamma chapter this year! You've made wonderful CLC's and we wish you both good luck in all your future endeavors!

Lauren is our featured senior today!
Major: middle school education with math and science concentrations
Plans after college: moving back home to Mentor to look to for teaching jobs. (Hopefully getting a job in 6th grade)
Quote about her Gamma Phi Beta experience: "For the last five years, Gamma Phi Beta has given me everything I have ever needed and so much more. Gamma Phi Beta helped me to not only grow, but to find myself. It led me to become the person I have always wanted to be. I have gained my lifelong friends here. I have gained my confidence here. I have gained my leadership here. I have gained so much in just five years, but I also gave a lot to Gamma Phi Beta. I gave my time. I gave my love and commitment. I gave my leadership and knowledge. But I believe that is what makes this bond, this relationship, with Gamma Phi, so special. A little give and a little take will last a lifetime."

Senior spotlight today is Emily!
Major: Middle school education- math and science
After college plans: moving to Cleveland in pursuit of a teaching job.
Quote about GPhi experience: "I came to college looking for the adult version of myself. I dont feel like I am leaving college as an adult. It doesn't feel real yet, and I'm not quite ready to call it adulthood. But I am leaving college as the best possible version of myself, and it is because I was a part of something bigger than myself for four years, Gamma Phi Beta."

Molly is our senior in the spotlight today!
Major: art education 2-D with a specialization in drawing and painting
Plans after going alum and graduating: searching for a job and hopefully finding one in a k-12 school as an art teacher
Quote about Molly's Gamma Phi experience: "My Gamma Phi Beta experience took a good girl (me!) and turned her into a strong, passionate, brilliant woman (also me). The best part was seeing the other women in the chapter, my sisters and best friends, go through the same experience. I can say firsthand that Gamma Phi really does build strong girls, and women!"

Senior spotlight today is Jessica!
Major: Popular Culture
Plans after going alum: attend cosmetology school, get my esthetician license and start her own makeup artistry business Quote about experience: "Gamma Phi Beta has helped me in ways I can't even express. From the skills I've learned, the experiences I've had, and the friends I've made, I know I am leaving a better and changed woman because of it."

In the senior spotlight today is Tressa!
Major: human development and family studies
Plans for the future: She would love to be at a shelter for women and children, at a counseling center or at nami. She will then be looking for a job.
Quote about her GPhi experience: "Being a gamma phi has given me an opportunity to help me better myself. I wouldn't be the same person I am today with out having all the leadership positions I did or without all the young women I have met. Every one has had an impact. I am happy to have been part of an organization that want to help young girls and their self esteem"

Minor: military science
Plans after college: serve in the army as a 2nd lieutenant

Minor: event planning
Plans after college: moving to Orlando, Florida to hopefully work at Orlando Studios

Plans after college: getting a job in social media marketing and eventually volunteer with Gamma Phi Beta
