POV: Your client is trying to convince you that “both” is absolutely an option. 😂

Me: “You can pick ONE preferred item.”

But honestly, this is where ABA gets fun! 🧠✨ We can use moments like this to work on flexibility, waiting, tolerating “not right now,” making choices, and functional communication.

Sometimes the biggest lesson isn’t getting the preferred item. It’s learning that we can handle when things don’t go exactly the way we want. 💙

POV: Your client decides it’s time to go for a little run… 🏃💨

In ABA, It’s important to understand why the behavior is happening and teach safe, functional alternatives.

ABA teams can work on skills like:
🧠 Functional communication
🛑 Responding to safety instructions
🚶 Staying with an adult or in designated areas
💬 Requesting a break, attention, or access to something appropriately

The goal isn’t simply “stop running.” It’s understanding the behavior, keeping the learner safe, and teaching skills that help them communicate what they need. 💙

✨ Moments That Matter ✨

Sometimes learning looks like play, creativity, and a little bit of sparkle! 💖 Our learner explored a textured sequin board while creating her own designs, giving her the opportunity to practice important skills in a fun and motivating way.

Through this activity, she was working on:
🧠 Fine motor skills and coordination
👀 Visual attention and discrimination
✋ Exploring different textures and sensory input
🎨 Creativity and independent choice-making
🗣️ Communication and requesting
💪 Following directions and staying engaged with an activity

In ABA, meaningful learning can happen during activities that are enjoyable and motivating for the learner. When we follow their interests, we can create opportunities to build skills while making the learning experience fun! 🌟

Every little moment of exploration is a moment that matters. 💕

When your coworker thinks he can run the social media better than you… 😂

Sir, you’re forgetting the difference between making a video and creating content that actually supports learning, builds engagement, and represents what we do. 👀

ABA marketing isn’t just trends and sounds. It’s showing the skills, progress, communication, independence, and relationships happening behind the scenes.

08/12/2026

POV: You start playing “house” during therapy and suddenly we’re 47 episodes deep into a family drama. 😭🏠

Me: “Okay, let’s work on pretend play and social skills!”

The client: introduces 6 characters, a family feud, and a plot twist

ABA is all about following their lead, building functional play skills, and turning their interests into opportunities for communication, flexibility, problem-solving, and social interaction.

AAC users often have access to hundreds or even thousands of words organized by categories, not alphabetically like a phone keyboard. Finding the right button takes practice for everyone, including therapists, teachers, and caregivers.

The good news? Every time we model language on an AAC device, we’re learning right alongside our learners.

Progress isn’t about being the fastest. It’s about building communication together.💙

07/31/2026

Our vocabulary has definitely changed since working with neurodivergent kiddos. 😂

Behind these everyday phrases is something bigger. They are intentional tools that help teach communication, independence, emotional regulation, and safety. Consistent language gives children clear expectations and creates opportunities for learning throughout the day.

07/27/2026

POV: Your client asks where their favorite therapist is but we’re working on generalization. 🤭

Instead of waiting for one specific person, we help kiddos build skills with multiple therapists across different people and environments. 💙

It can be tough when their favorite isn’t there (trust us, we know 🥹), but learning that different people can still be safe, fun, and supportive is an important part of building flexibility and independence.

So no, they didn’t have the flu. 😂 We are just helping your kiddo practice an important life skill!

Sensory toys in ABA aren’t just fun, they can support self-regulation, attention, fine motor skills, sensory exploration, and communication during play-based learning. 🎯

Every kiddo is different, so finding sensory activities that match their needs and interests can make such a big difference. 💙

Moments That Matter 💙⚽

What looks like a simple game of catch was actually a big moment of growth!

Not only was this kiddo catching and throwing the ball back, but he also independently sat up to position his body and avoid the ball hitting him. Showing body awareness, motor planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills all at once 🎯

In ABA, play-based activities like this help build important functional and developmental skills in a natural, fun way while encouraging independence and confidence along the way.
