Phoenix Independent Open is looking to expand their cast for the final segment of their 2021 EShowcase production.
This will be by virtual audition but performers would need to be present for the recording day on March 13th in Northwest Ohio.
There are no age restrictions, you can participate even if you are in another unit this season (as long as it doesn’t conflict with your teams schedule)

Audition routine video will be shared Monday, March 1st with return video due by March 5th.

1st Game 2020

Auditions for the 2020 BGSU Color Guard will be done via a video audition process.
Video Auditions: Your audition videos will consist of three portions: Movement, Flag and Choreography

Movement Section:
Marching Forward 8 Toe Lead Step and Backward 8
2 Chasse and 2 Saute across the floors in combination
2 Chaine Turn across the floors in combination

Flag Section:
16 Counts of Drop Spins
Angle Drill - 16 counts in 2’s followed by 16 counts in 1’s
Figure 8’s - 16 counts in 2’s
Tosses - 4 Pop Tosses followed by 4 Parallel Tosses

Choreography Section:
32 Counts of choreography per the video.

Audition Submissions: To submit your video audition to us, please record all of the above and post as a single video to youtube in an unlisted post. Then forward that link to us at [email protected] Deadline for Submission will be May 22nd.

General Information: This season we are looking to march 15-20 members in the guard and have an additional 2-3 alternates. The final number depends upon the caliber of applicants as determined by the staff. Candidates selected are members of the band and are subject to the same regulations and expectations as the other band members. BGSU Color Guard members must audition each year.
