TODAY marks the official start of our Fall 2022 Recruitment! We have lots of fun events in store and our current sisters are so excited to get things going! We hope to see you there! 🌹❤️🎶

Guess what?? Our spring recruitment begins TOMORROW!! If you or anyone you know wants to be a part of the Gamma Omicron chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, be sure to spread the info and come out (or online!) to our events of next week! Remember that the only *required* event is Formal Tea on Thursday the 27th, and if you cannot attend but still want to join don’t hesitate to contact Brooke Harvey! As we welcome 2022, here’s a look back at a few major events from our sisters that wrapped up 2021:
At our final chapter of the semester we welcomed SAI at Oakland University formally into the sisterhood!
We held senior commitment for Lian Shoviak as she graduated this semester!! Congrats again on becoming a BGSU Alumni and also on a wonderful senior recital recording
The incredibly talented Maggie Brown WON the Undergraduate Division of the BGSU Concerto Competition!! We are still radiating pride 🤩
We got to celebrate another senior this semester at Andrea’s senior recital! Andrea Kaufhold put on a wonderful and lively performance to capstone her time in the CMA
Thankful for all our sisters and accomplishments that were achieved last year, may this new one bring about many more 🌹❤️

Congratulations to our newest initiates!! Welcome to Gamma Omicron Emily, Celeste, Caitlin, and Julia, we are SO excited to have you officially join us as sisters and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey through the MIT process. You did it!!!

Thankful today for these four unbelievably talented, smart, kind, and generous ladies
Thankful for our entire chapter of lovely and strong women
Thankful for our shared passion of music and the fact that we are able to sing and play in person once more
Thankful for the amazing Dr. Penny Kruse ❤️

The Gamma Omicron Chapter has welcomed ten young women into our family as they begin their journey towards full sisterhood! Please help us congratulate the newest Members-In-Training of Spring 2021 ❤🌹

The Gamma Omicron Chapter has selected Dr. Solungga Liu as our chosen musician for the Fabulous Faculty Friday of February. Dr. Liu has been recognized as a dedicated educator with a strong love for what she does. Our chapter members have described her as inspirational and passionate!

We are sending a massive THANK YOU to Dr. Liu for all she does for our community within the College of Musical Arts! ❤️🌹

Massive congratulations to our graduating senior, Katie Philips! Katie entered the Chapter of Gamma Omicron in Spring of 2017. During her time in GO, she has served as the Treasurer and Vice President of Ritual. She recently completed her student teaching at Lakota Elementary, where she implemented the Mindfulness in Times of Stress Curriculum with her young students (how COOL!!). Now, Katie is graduating with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education with a specialization in General Music. After graduation, Katie plans to travel and work temporarily in Hawaii for the remainder of the winter and then look for teaching positions in Ohio for the fall.

We could not be more proud to have such a dedicated, caring, and wonderful young women as an esteemed member of our sisterhood. We will miss her dearly, but we know that the amazing contributions she will make to the world are more than worth the sadness of saying goodbye to our lovely friend. Best of luck with all your future endeavors, Katie! Please keep us updated with all your successes in life ❤️
