The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science Kentucky's first state-supported residential 2-year STEM program for students interested in advanced

Each year, The G*tton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky admits some of Kentucky's brightest sophomores. The G*tton Academy will admit approximately 95 students per year. Students are awarded admission based on standardized test scores, grades, responses to essay questions, personal interviews, and recommendations. Instead of spending their junior and senior years in traditional high s

chools, students enroll in the G*tton Academy and live in a uniquely dedicated G*tton Academy residence hall. Taking courses offered by WKU, their classmates are fellow G*tton Academy students and WKU undergraduate students. At the end of two years, G*tton Academy students will have earned approximately sixty college credit hours in addition to completing high school.
