Honors Learning Community

Today was the first day of orientation and it was so great to meet the first group of incoming Honors students! We had great conversations about exciting classes and HLC opportunities. We can’t wait to continue this momentum as orientation continues next week!

Our excursion into Detroit was a success! The HLC explored the vibrant culture, incredible food, and lively atmosphere of Eastern Market before heading to & Juliet, a high-energy Broadway hit packed with music, humor, and unforgettable performances. We were still singing on the bus ride home? …Absolutely!

It was a magical night of dancing and celebration at the Spring Formal this weekend! We loved celebrating our unique community and being together.

One historic hallmark of the HLC experience has been regional travel. Allie was one of a group of students who spent the first part of spring break traveling to Kentucky to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum and the Kentucky Horse Park! These trips not only expand a sense of regional awareness and identity, they are also great opportunities to build HLC community.
