Hello all! If you are color guard or percussion, camp starts today from 8am - 3pm

Marching band, the Memorial Day parade is Monday. We will meet on the corner of the square in the open grass lot by the courthouse annex at 9am. Please remind your friends.

Wow what a year we have had! All of our classes have done amazing and we cant wait to see what next year holds for them.

Wanted to let everyone know that the century Resources Fundraiser that was scheduled for delivery tomorrow was delivered today. Delivery tracking still states tomorrow, so please understand this is not the Directors fault. Please be patient as they sort/get it organized as it showed up now with only a short time to get it ready for students. Please share this with other parents as welll

We had 5 students chosen to attend the emo conference band! They did amazing!

Solo/ensemble competitions were a few weeks ago and we had 10 total band/choir kids go! 5 students received outstanding as scores! 6of the 10 students attended this event for their first time! The kids, teachers, and accompanists deserve a congratulations on a job well done! We are so proud of all of the students!

Wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving!!

Hi everyone! Hope you had a good October. We appreciate your understanding with not holding the booster meeting last month. We just wanted to remind everyone that our meeting are on the third Thursday of the month unless otherwise stated and that means this Thursday is our next meeting, it starts at 6:00 pm in the band room, we hope for another great turnout!

The kids (and Ms. B)had a great day attending conference choir! They even got to see Mr. O! Way to go Bobcat Choir! They did an amazing job representing our school!

We are very proud of the following students who auditioned for and made All District Choir: Kaycee Charlton, Alex Riedy, Jordan Pasley, and Karter Cockrell. Congratulations to these students, and their director, Rachel Buttram, for their hard work and dedication.

There will be no Music Booster Meeting tomorrow night, as we are trying to get everything ready for the bonfire and still putting stuff away from marching competitions. Please don't hesitate to send a message with any questions you have, we will do our best to get you an answer. If we don't already have the answer, we will get one for you! Thank you for your patience and understanding! Hope to see everyone at the bonfire and at our November Meeting!

We would like to congratulate the Bowling Green Bobcat Band on their amazing performances done at the 1st Shelby Invitational yesterday! They brought home 6 first place awards and were only .3 of a point from being the overall winner for the invitational! Their hard work this season has really paid off! Congratulations!

This email was sent out last Friday, I thought I would post it here so that anyone that didn’t receive it can read it.

Hello all band students and band parents! I am attaching an itinerary for next Saturday's (Sept 23) competition at Wright City. For those that are new to our band competitions, this is an all day event that we have been working towards since our camps this summer. Students will need to supply a few of their own things. Most band students will need all black shoes (preferably marching shoes) and they need to be completely black. Absolutely no other colors on them. They will also need black socks to wear under their uniform. Concession stands will be open but food will be provided by the music boosters as well.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS: As some of you might know, our music boosters organization is a small yet powerful group of parents that travel to all our competitions with us. They provide transportation for our trailer and equipment as well as food for the students throughout the day. This is a very challenging day for our small group of 5-6 parents and we are incredibly thankful for everything they do. That being said, any help from other parents would be greatly appreciated on these days. We are always looking for more able bodies to help them throughout the day. This is also a great opportunity for you to become involved in your child's life outside of school. If you are at all interested in helping that day, please reach out to me and I will get you in contact with our music boosters president. Thank you for your consideration.

Wright City Marching Festival 2023 Itinerary

September 23, 2023 @ Wright City High School

*Please eat breakfast, it will be a long day*

6:45 am - CALL TIME

*This will be the time we pack up trailers and uniforms for the trip*

*Bring your tall black socks and black shoes, DO NOT FORGET!*

7:15 am - Departure from Bowling Green High School

9:10 am - Parade Performance @ Wright City High School Track

10:30 am - Indoor Guard Performance

*Lunch will be during this time between performances. Concession stands will also be open throughout the day at the stadium*

1:30 pm - Indoor Drumline Performance

*Warm ups for these performances will be 15 minutes before performances

3:45 pm - Field Show Performance

8:25 pm - Awards

9:00 pm - Departure from Wright City

*Nobody is allowed to leave until the entire trailer and all the equipment is packed back up in the school*

*Other Important Information*

Parents that will be attending the parade should plan to arrive early

enough to catch a shuttle as parking at the HS is limited. Shuttles will be

running constantly around all of the lots.

Admission to the field show contest and awards ceremony is $8 for adults

and $5 for students 7-18 years. 6 years and under are free.

There are no changing rooms available. The high school building will be closed immediately after the end of indoor activities.

We have a big event coming up on Saturday for the kids. The Wright City Marching festival is an all day event. Mr. Bovay sent out an itinerary in a separate email last week. This week we are planning for the food for the day. The main courses will be provided by us, for lunch we are planning on lunch meat sandwiches and for dinner it will be brats and pork burgers. We are asking that each grade level bring something different.

Sophomores-sides
Juniors-chips/snacks/desserts
Seniors-hot dog buns, hamburger buns, and loaves of bread

We do have a music booster meeting Thursday in the band room at 6:00 PM. We would love to have more parent participation in helping support the music programs of our school district. Due to the excessive heat, marching band practice has been MOVED from tonight to September 6th. They will discuss this more in band tomorrow. Please share to get the word out.

If you have not already, be sure to contact the BGR-1 Central Office and get your tickets to the Cardinals game on Monday night August 28th and support the Bowling Green Bobcat Choirs, who are singing that night! The tickets are $20/each and are in sections 171 and 173.

Marching band camp week has come to an end! The directors and students did an amazing job and worked their tails off! Thank you to all the parents/family members who sent food to help feed them! They enjoyed everything!

Wow, this year has flown by! We couldn’t have made all of the help for the students without the help of the community and families! We are so grateful for each and every one of you! As the year comes to a close we have a few dates for you.

Please join us in celebrating all the students hard work, and our seniors last concert! There will be cake following the concerts supporting the hard work the kids have put in over the years!

We have a meeting tonight at 6:00 in the high school band room. Feel free to join us and help us support the students and teachers.

Music program fundraiser comes in today. Kids will need to pick up after school please.
