We had the great pleasure of having Paul Miller a 2023 alumni of the MLS program come and speak to our incoming seniors!

Paul spoke about what it’s like to work in the clinical laboratory in the microbiology department where he specializes in identifying a plethora of bugs.

Paul also gave us some real life case studies to work on and some wonderful advice for our future medical laboratory scientists. It was a blast to see a great friend! Thank you Paul! 🧫

Our incoming seniors got to practice their interview skills with our affiliated clinical sites this summer! This is a great way for our students to explore local hospitals and connect with laboratory leaders! Great job everyone!! 🤓

Dr. Hosenfeld and Jamela hosted a section of BGSUs Hidden Health Careers Camp this week. They got to immerse high school students into the lab. Students got to swab their mouths and grow bacteria on Agar plates, view real patient blood smears under the microscope and work on a urinalysis case study. The MLS program is always happy to showcase the work behind a patients diagnosis. 🔬
