The “Nu Hang-out” Welcome to Delaware -------------- Joshua Hill While we men have always golfed, Dorie has always put on quite the event for the ladies! I made a worthy attempt by sending the ladies to Amato’s Woodfired Pizza for Lunch, w**e at CLO W**e Lounge, and then to paint pottery at a studio in Delaware. With some time left before dinner, the ladies went to the largest Antique store I think many of us have ever seen! Some great finds there! After it all, we got together at Bun,s Bar and Grill, one of Delaware’s oldest restaurants down town, and were met by Dick and Dorie Schultz with their mannequin companion, and a staple of any Sigma Nu Hang Out, Fawn. We shared some drinks, some good food, and stories. It was a wonderful time getting to fellowship with one another. Afterwards, we headed to Opa to visit the mecca of bourbon in Central Ohio, and embarked on a Pub-Golf crawl throughout downtown Delaware with the actives! We hope you’ll join us next year! July 24, 2027 right back here in Delaware. For decades, we’ve all gathered together. Starting at Delaware State Park Campground, and spending the last 25 years at Dick and Dorie’s. Every year, on the last weekend of July we get together for brotherhood, fellowship, and to catch up with everybody old and new! When Dick announced his and Dorie’s retirement from hosting the summer's hottest event for Sigma Nu’s, many of us wondered “what’ll happen next year?” Between a few b**rs and candid discussions with Rick Acker and Joe DiNardi in Dick’s basement, we figured Delaware is the ideal place! Back to our (your) roots. Plenty to do, centrally located, and thus the planning began. A golf course? We have plenty of them! This year we played at Oakhaven on 23. We had 14 total players, making 2 foursomes and 2 threesomes. While Brothers Alexander, Rohr, Icenogle, and Acker posted a cool -8 on the course, current Commander Josh Carpenter and his crew shot 9 under par, verified by Bob Gingras himself! Is this the first time the Actives smoked the alumni? I think so…
