Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary

Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary Welcome to the official page for Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary School! Welcome to Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary (PBC), the home of the Ambassadors!

Follow us for the latest school updates, event reminders, and celebrations of our amazing students and staff. At PBC our Mission Statement is as follows: “The PBC family works together to encourage learners to be all they can be every day!” This is in line with our district’s motto of “Excellence Is Worth The Effort” and at the heart of everything we do. Parker Bennett Curry is a school of over 3

00 students from Preschool to 5th grade. Many of our students are from other countries and English is their 2nd language. Our Diversity is viewed as a Plus and not a Delta. We believe that the existing grouping of students from various countries and walks of life enriches our student’s futures. We are the Ambassador to the WORLD which is our guideline to success.
· Work cooperatively
· Obey the rules
· Respect self and others
· Lead by example
· Do your best

At PBC we are a Leader in Me school and firmly believe in living the 7 Habits daily. A little saying that was created goes as follows: Together we create Leaders who strive to Be Proactive (Habit 1) so we can Begin with the End in Mind (Habit 2) and Put First Things First (Habit 3). Therefore, we Think Win-Win(Habit 4) and we Seek First to Understand than to be Understood (Habit 5). Our Diversity allows us to Synergize (Habit 6) and continuously Sharpen the Saw (Habit 7).

🛑 Please be aware of this new school bus law in Kentucky!

School will be back in session soon! 🚌

Let's make safety a top priority by knowing the rules of the road. Drivers need to know how a new Kentucky law (KRS 189.370) impacts what they should do if they see a bus with red flashing lights and an extended stop arm:

• When this occurs on a road with more than two lanes that doesn't have a raised or unpaved median, traffic in all directions and lanes must stop.

• The only exception to this law is on a four-lane or more road that includes a raised or unpaved median. In this instance, traffic opposite to the extended stop arm may proceed.

The Kentucky State Police's top priority is keeping everyone safe at school, work, home and on the road.

🎨🖌️📚 Local artist Ashley Scott’s new mural is officially finished in the Parker-Bennett-Curry Library! With bright colors and local landmarks, it celebrates both our community and a love of reading.

The project is part of Ashley's annual “Paint It Forward” initiative, where she generously gifts one free mural to the community every year.

We are grateful for her talent and community spirit, and can’t wait for students to see it in person.
