Celebrity Sighting: my good friend, Wood County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jeff McCoy stopped by my house today with his Field Training Officer. Jeff was a Seneca Co Deputy and I was fortunate enough to become fast friends with him while he was the SRO at Sentinel… fast fwd 3 years and here he is serving Wood County following in my 35 years. I am proud to call him friend, a coworker and now Wood Co Deputy. Be safe out there Deputy. 🚔 👮🏻♂️ 🇺🇸👍🏻

Today I had a Celebrity Sighting. While pumping gas I notice the truck next to me has a familiar face. Otsego HS 2026 grad Jaxon Vollmar. Was great to see Jaxon and catch up. He was happy to graduate, working this summer and in the fall is attending BGSU and plans to study finance. We laughed about all the years we knew each other and the fun we had when I was his SRO. We talked about his basketball career and he even brought up the Otsego legendary 80’s band “No Recess” that I was the lead singer of. He said those school concerts were some of the best. I can’t wait to see the positive impact this amazing young man has on the world.

Celebrity Sighting: 2 days out of school and I just arrived at our summer happy place, I hear “Officer Brian” then I find 5 Chieftains in grades 1st through 7th. All were here visiting. We chatted about their school year and how they are all looking for a long summer break. It’s ALWAYS a huge deal for me anytime I see a former or current student. Note, they all had on their HL t shirts but the cool night brought out the Sweatshirts.

And last day of school is done. What an amazing 2025-26 year. These kids truly make me love my job. Cheers to a great summer.

Less than 24 hours after graduating and this amazing Chieftain, Laura Cook surprised me with a milkshake today. Totally made my day. I am truly blessed to know these students and build the relationships that I do. Yes Laura you totally made my day. Thank you. Chieftain Pride
Attn HL Elem parents: we tried our hardest to make today great. After this Dance Party, walking on the track(most were running) the Dance Party, recess, classroom fun we figure they are worn out. The laughs, fun and friendships I saw at the Dance party was forever smiles. These kids had an amazing time today. What a fun and memorable day for all.
