The purpose of The Mahurin Honors College is to offer high-achieving young scholars the environment of a small, highly selective college, while providing the resources and benefits of a large public university. t changes lives. Equally as important, the MHC experience is helping these scholars make their educational and career dreams come true. What a weekend! H4 2026 was full of new experiences, meaningful conversations, learning, and of course, plenty of fun (plus pancakes). We loved seeing our scholars connect, grow, and make memories together throughout the weekend.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make H4 happen! From our amazing student leaders and volunteers to everyone who worked behind the scenes, we truly couldn’t have done it without you. Your time, energy, and dedication made this weekend possible!

And a big congratulations to EAST for bringing home the spirit stick! You all sure were “despicable”! 😉

As you head into the 2026–2027 academic year, we hope you’ll all stay connected with your new friends. Keep hanging out in Honors, grab lunch together, check in on each other, and don’t let the friendships you made or renewed this summer disappear once classes get busy!

We hope everyone is leaving H4 with new friendships, memories, and a little more Hilltopper spirit than they came with. ❤️
