Warren County Agriculture Here to help you with your agriculture and horticulture questions in Warren County.

The Agriculture and Natural Resources program provides non-formal education in the areas of agricultural production, homeowner planting, and natural resource utilization. Specific programs include information on food production, farm business management, marketing and processing agricultural products, natural resources management and home lawn and garden information. We address issues dealing with environmental stewardship, the rural-urban interface, and value-added enterprises. The webinars are open to agriculture and natural resource county extension agents, crop consultants, farmers, industry professionals, and others, whether they reside or work in Kentucky or outside the state.

🚨🌋 STOP THE MULCH VOLCANO! 🌳

Have you seen mulch piled high around the trunk of a tree?

It may look tidy, but piling mulch against the trunk can hold excess moisture against the bark and contribute to future tree problems.

Instead:
✅ Spread mulch outward over the root zone.
✅ Keep the layer relatively shallow.
❌ Don’t pile mulch against the trunk.

Your trees will thank you.
