The Agriculture and Natural Resources program provides non-formal education in the areas of agricultural production, homeowner planting, and natural resource utilization. Specific programs include information on food production, farm business management, marketing and processing agricultural products, natural resources management and home lawn and garden information. Did you know some dragonflies are incredible travelers, migrating vast distances? They can even cross the Atlantic Ocean, similar to monarch butterflies, but get far less recognition for their amazing navigational skills. Their presence can vary year to year due to water, food, or migratory challenges.

Powdery mildew commonly appears in late summer, especially during humid weather. While it may affect the appearance of plants, it rarely causes lasting damage. Make a note of affected plants this season so you can monitor them next year and consider preventative measures early in the spring if the problem returns.
