From now until November 6, 2026, WEMS will be collecting items for the Fall Block Party. We are requesting 7th grade students bring in individually wrapped snack cakes, and 8th grade bring in 2 liters. The grade that brings in the most will receive hot cocoa and cookies.

The Fall Block Party will be November 6, 2026 from 5-7pm. Wrist bands can be pre-ordered for $10 (be on the lookout for more information on pre-ordering) or purchased at the door for $15. There will be music, face paint, a cake walk, a petting zoo, a Book Fair, consessions, and more!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN for the 2026 Teen Angel Program!
From now through October 30, families can register their teens for this year’s program, which helps bring the joy of Christmas to teens in Bowling Green and Warren County schools.

Together, we can make the holiday season brighter for local teens and help ensure they feel supported, valued, and remembered.

We ended the week with a FALL SPORTS PEP RALLY!

Our 7th and 8th graders brought the energy and school spirit as they competed head-to-head in football- and softball-themed games! The fun continued with “Match the Walk-Up Song to the Teacher” and a “Finish the Lyrics” challenge featuring students vs. teachers!

What a fun way to celebrate our fall sports and wrap up the week before fall break!💙💛

It’s been a busy week in 8th Grade Science!

Students in Mrs. Harris and Mrs. McIntyre's classes have been exploring renewable and nonrenewable resources through hands-on chalk activities and have now put their knowledge to the test with a Resources Scavenger Hunt!

We love seeing our students learning, moving, collaborating, and applying their science knowledge in engaging ways! 💙💛

🏈🥎 Fall Sports at WEMS! 🥎🏈

Our fall sports regular seasons came to a close this week, and we celebrated our 8th graders as they wrapped up their middle school sports careers! Both softball and football hosted special 8th Grade Nights to recognize these student-athletes and all they have contributed to their teams.

We are so proud of our 8th graders and the hard work, determination, teamwork, and character they have demonstrated throughout their middle school athletic careers. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish in the years ahead!

Step Back in Time at the WEMS Colonial Fair!

Mr. Hunt’s Advanced 8th Grade Social Studies students brought history to life as they presented a Colonial Fair for WEMS!

Students selected a colony to research, created engaging visuals, and prepared presentations designed to convince their peers that their colony was the one they would choose to live in!

Way to go, Mr. Hunt and our Advanced 8th Grade Social Studies students! We are proud of the hard work and creativity you put into bringing history to life! 💙💛
