🌕 It’s Almost Time for the March 3, 2026 Blood Moon!

On March 3, 2026, the Moon will drift into the deepest part of Earth’s shadow, transforming into a glowing red sphere in the night sky. This total lunar eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon line up perfectly, and Earth’s atmosphere bends sunlight onto the Moon — filtering out blues and leaving behind rich crimson and copper shades.

For nearly an hour, the Moon will be fully covered in Earth’s umbra, creating that dramatic “Blood Moon” glow skywatchers love. The color can range from deep red to rusty orange, depending on atmospheric conditions at the time.

⏰ Eclipse Timeline (UTC)
• Penumbral eclipse begins: 08:44
• Partial eclipse begins: 09:50
• Total eclipse begins: 11:04
• Maximum eclipse: 11:33
• Total eclipse ends: 12:02
• Partial eclipse ends: 13:17
• Penumbral eclipse ends: 14:22

Just step outside and look up. Binoculars or a small telescope will make the details even more stunning, but your eyes alone are enough 🌌

Today we honor Our Lady of Guadalupe — the Mother who draws near. 💛

In a time of fear and division, she appeared not to the powerful, but to a humble peasant, Juan Diego, speaking in his language, wrapped in the beauty of his culture. Her message was simple and eternal: You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone.

Our Lady of Guadalupe reminds us that God’s love always finds a way to reach us — through the familiar, through the ordinary, through the gentle presence of a mother. May we carry her message into our own corners of the world, becoming living signs of that same tender love.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us — that we might bring light where there is darkness, and hope where there is despair.

St. Al’s is now closed today.

Option C is having technical difficulties so the message that school is closed will not send. We apologize for this. Please help us to spread the word. Our Christmas program will be rescheduled and we will share the plan as soon as the details are worked out.
