Hilltop String Festival The Hilltop String Festival is an intensive program in Bowling Green at Western Kentucky University.

It offers dedicated string players the opportunity to deepen their musical and instrumental skill through lessons, chamber music, and much more.

Our final day at Hilltop 2026 was one to remember! The student recital featured some inspiring solo performance of works by Sibelius, Elgar, and Barber, and then the incredible string quartet. We loved seeing how the groups came together and created something beautiful over the course of just eight days! Bravo to all the performers, and we are already looking forward to Summer 2027!

Day 7 at Hilltop was packed with adventure. We started out with a community concert downtown at the Capitol theater (The Capitol by Warren County Public Library) hosted by the Warren County Library Warren County Public Library. Then a trip for pizza lunch, followed be a wonderful masterclass by Katja Yeager Katja Yeager, and it was capped off by a brilliant recital of Yuuki Wong and Mira Choi. Bravo to all the performers on this jam-packed day!

Days 5 and 6 were filled with lessons, chamber music, and camaraderie! The incredible Eykamp String Quartet visited, teaching string quartet masterclasses and performing an unforgettable concert. Thank you for your thoughtful pedagogy and riveting performances. The past two days have also featured musical trivia night, masterclass and Andy Braddock, a casual concert for students by students, and recording sessions. It’s been a blast! Can’t wait for our final two days!
