The start of school is right around the corner! 📚🚸 We know it’s exciting to share those adorable first-day photos, but the Decatur Police Department urges parents to use caution!

Posting your child’s name, school, grade, teacher, or even favorite activities can give predators or scammers information they can use to target them. Keep your posts fun while protecting your child’s privacy by leaving out personal details.

Things NOT to share:
🚫 Personal identifying information
🚫 School name
🚫 Teacher’s name
🚫 Grade
🚫 Specific personal information (interests, favorites, security info)

Share the smiles and excitement — without sharing the specifics. Together, we can help keep our kids safe this school year! 👮‍♂️💙

Our 2025-2026 VPK program will be starting soon and we still have some spots available. It is a 6.5 hour program designed to help prepare your little one for kindergarten and more. Give us a call if you'd like to schedule an appointment to visit the school.

This is the project our class submitted to the Hardee County Fair's Arts and Craft competition. We were working on the letter S and made sand art "shakes" complete with sprinkles and straws! The students loved the activity and I'm so proud of their hard work and persistence.

Our class won first place in the Arts and Crafts beginner category and we are so proud of their efforts! Can't wait to tell them. 🥳

Voluntary PreKindergarten spots available! Classes are FREE to 4-5 year olds who will enter kindergarten this August and have not participated in another VPK program. Our program runs through May 16th and is an 8 hour day. We use a play-based /project-based approach to learning that helps our students build confidence, fosters creativity, and targets critical thinking skills that they will take with them into kindergarten and beyond. Give us a call to schedule a visit.
