Dear friends and family. A dedicated group of faculty and students here at WKU (http://sunsketcher.org/team.php) have been working to develop the SunSketcher App that will use your smartphone to take precisely timed photos during the April 8th Eclipse to determine the true shape and size of our Sun. I have been blessed to have been a part of this team for the past two+ years and now it is your turn to join our team. The most vital part of this program is the volunteers needed within the path of totality from Texas to Maine to download and use the (free) SunSketcher App currently available on Apple App Store, coming soon on Google Play. This past summer, we hosted two more students through the RIG program! Our second RIG student feature is Jonathon Reilly!

Jonathon is working alongside Carolina on a VR tour of WKU’s campus. His work primarily centers around LiDAR scans of 3D objects and environments (see slide 2 for an example of some rad LiDAR mapping).
