You may have noticed that LCABG has taken on the challenge of completing 25 service projects in the month of September to commemorate the 25 anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. While several special guests have been invited to come share with our students here on campus, Mrs. Warf’s fourth grade class visited the Medical Center EMS yesterday where they delivered treats in gratitude for their sacrificial work here in Bowling Green. We look forward to meeting more of our heroes at our 9/11 memorial service tomorrow morning!

Yesterday, Mrs. Luna’s 10th grade homeroom had the privilege of visiting our local VA clinic as we remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

While we can never forget the sacrifice of the heroes who gave their lives that day, we are also reminded that courage and service continue long after the headlines fade. Our students were grateful for the opportunity to spend time honoring veterans who have faithfully served our nation and to express our appreciation for the freedoms their service helps protect.

In honor of our 9/11 memorial service, we are asking all students to wear regular Monday chapel dress: polo and dress slacks, skirt, or dress. We will allow them to wear spirit wear t-shirts, jeans, and hoodies tomorrow instead (Thursday) so as not to take that weekly privilege away. Thanks so much!

If you come during car rider line, please pull into the 3rd lane on the far right, and our seniors will load them for you. Thank you for supporting our seniors!

In anticipation of this Friday’s 25th anniversary of 9/11, Mrs. Livingston’s first graders welcomed some special guests from Greenwood Fire Station 6 on Cherry Farm Lane to our campus. The students sang to the firefighters and prayed over them as they daily serve our Bowling Green community.

As we prepare for our 9/11 Commemoration, we are grateful for community partners who help us make this meaningful day even more special.

This year, Woodmen Life is supplying new flags for our school, as well as providing goodie bags and special treats for the veterans and first responders who will join us as we remember September 11 and honor the heroes who served—and those who presently serve—our communities.

Mr. David Brown at Woodmen Life has partnered with Christian education for over 25 years, and we are sincerely grateful for his generous and continued support!

As we kick off the month of September and prepare to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on our nation, Legacy’s 6th/7th grade Bible class visited some local heroes to share our deep appreciation for their service to our community. These young people walked away with a special lunch invitation from our KY State Troopers, introductions to a few of Bowling Green’s newest cadets, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Warren County Sheriff’s Training Center by none other than Sheriff Hightower himself!

Legacy Christian Academy of Bowling Green surprised us with some treats and a special invitation to their September 11th Memorial Service.

We’re incredibly thankful that they took time out of their day to visit the BGPD, pray with us, and invite us to be part of such a meaningful event.

If you don’t celebrate national days, you may have missed that this past Saturday was National Lemon Juice Day. Several of our elementary classes were not caught off guard, though, and they made quite the sweet and sour splash on Friday in anticipation of a fruity weekend 🍋🥤
