Last week, our 7th and 8th grade students participated in a Service Day by helping clean up trash at Blacksox Park in Bowie and making cards for care packages that will be sent to Heart of Dinner in New York City. Go !

Skylar W. ('27) won 2nd place and a $25 cash prize in the middle school division of the Sixth Annual Battle of the Gavel Oratorical Contest, sponsored by the Greater Suburban Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Contestants had to prepare a speech that was at least two minutes and 30 seconds long, but no more than 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Students were judged on their Toastmaster etiquette, content and delivery. Go !
