When I decided to pursue a career in law enforcement, I was eager and committed to making a positive impact as a female police officer. At the time, there was a noticeable lack of representation for people who looked like me in terms of gender and race. Training tailored to the needs of female officers was also limited. Moreover, mentorship was not prioritized for the few women in leadership roles, and succession planning was almost non-existent.
Although there have been some cultural changes, there is still a significant need to support the development of women in law enforcement and provide a platform to celebrate their successes. Identifying best practices for career advancement from women who have experienced it firsthand is crucial. Most importantly, guiding women who reach leadership positions, or as I like to put it, "get a seat at the table," is essential.
We all share this vision, and that's why creating this conference was so important.

Bonus workshops:
You asked, and we deliver- an afternoon with not one but two workshops!!!!!

Women Empowering Women
Women are often suspicious of other women, especially in a profession that provides limited opportunities for females to advance. This two-hour roundtable discussion will feature women who have advanced to positions of leadership in the field while highlighting the support and resistance they experienced throughout their professional path. Join us for an opportunity to discuss how women have been able to have it all despite working in an environment that is duplicitous, challenging, and filled with wolves in sheep's clothing.

Social Media and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the AI Unintelligent
This two-hour workshop will provide an overview of social media for the non-user and casual user, followed by an overview of artificial intelligence (AI) and an explanation of how it impacts our daily lives. The workshop will close with examples of how AI has impacted law enforcement.
