At the Bulldog Battalion one will learn to Lead, Follow and if can’t Get out the way….This was during JCLC (27 schools from across MD 2-from DE) came to Bowie State to gain Leadership abilities! LTC(R) Robinson, CPT(R) Campbell, and Cadet Okorie- were on board to recruit gaining 44 leads (25 was the magic number) 💛🖤 💛🖤🔥

Hear ye hear ye…let it be known that we have a commissioning ceremony this morning at 1130hrs! Our cadets have answered the call to serve their country as Army officers! Blood 🩸 😓 and 😭 of putting the grind to answer the call that many are not willing to take! We are all proud of our new commissionees! They will forever remain Bowie Bold!! Ain’t no stopping us now…We’re on the move!! One of the biggest feats is knowing that you’re about to embark on a journey that you’ve been waiting for 4yrs! That’s what’s about to happen next week for some of our cadets at BSU! Some are coming from active duty where they have cashed in their hard stripes for a bar…I know that beat also well (shoutout to VSU)-anyways Leadership is a process that takes time-one of the steps is tackling the Army ACFT! Our cadets at BSU are ready to face their Soldiers with grit and vigor- all the while, while reminding the BSU ROTC Motto: Lead, Follow or Get out the Way! I’m proud of our cadets- just keep putting in that work and the rewards are greater- ! -2LTtime🖤; ;

What is the ACFT? Just what it means to the Bulldog BN- especially our MS4s…just Another Combat Fitness Test! Even LTC Dominique (PMS) wanted to see the cadets feel the burn 🔥…CDT(P) Cole was leading charge as he conquered the final event of the ACFT; CDT(P) Beasley- demonstrates how she can go BEAST MODE at any given time!; CDT(P) Chavez- finds time to smile while everyone else is struggling during the 2mi run-; CDT(P) Armstrong proves why he holds the title of his name during the SDC of the ACFT! Way to go Cadets and keep in mind one more semester to go!! ; ; 🖤😎💛

When 2LT Bossiwa (Bsu Rotc c/o 24)decided to pay me n my Cadets at Lansdowne JROTC a visit it was quite the bite from a Bulldog that I expected…he gave and shared many insights on his path to commissioning and how beneficial going through BSU Bulldog BN helped prepped him to be the man he is today! LT Bossiwa is headed to his first duty assignment in Korea as a 13A- Field Artillery Officer. I told him to stick with Verizon as his hearing will diminish in 5yrs 😆 😆🖤💛- Best of luck to him on his journey ; 💛🖤

When a retired BG makes it her business to visit the Bulldog Battalion it’s another opportunity to gain a major investment in our Cadets future careers! Brigadier General (Retired) Young, Tawanda visited last month in order to equip our future LTs with wisdom prior to them entering their first Officer Assignments! After serving 32 yrs our cadets ensured the proper respect was rendered! 😉; ; !
