As of October 1, 2013, Maryland residents must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License (HQL) before they can purchase or receive a handgun. This 4-hour course includes time in the classroom, simulation shooting with laser pistols, and live firing at a gun range. We cover basic pistol fundamentals, gun safety, Maryland gun laws inside the home and outside of the home, gun storage (buying a quality gun safe), and more. When you leave, you’re guaranteed to feel more confident with fi****ms than you did when you got there!
