About a year and a half ago I walked through the local grocery store near my school and immediately heard my name being called out from behind. I turned around to see my student and family smiling and waving, we walked an aisle or two before saying goodbye.

For the remainder of the year we spent together she recalled the time I was in HER grocery store! The magic was in the relationship that came after she met her teacher in HER world. Imagine how impactful a student-teacher relationship could be if it exist outside the classroom, focused on individual growth and diverse community enrichment but still rooted in academic excellence.

According to the most recent state report cards Prince Georges county falls behind in overall graduation rates, math and ela success scores compared to the surrounding counties.

Little Leaders strives to close those achievement gaps here in our community for students grade K-5. Little leaders will provide 1 on 1 targeted instruction, small group enrichment, civic opportunities and more through our membership program.
