Ambient Soundscapes: A Sound Meditation Experience

Immerse yourself in a sound bath and embark on a musical journey through ambient soundscapes. Deep listening and deep relaxation!

Come join us for an immersive sound meditation on March 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.

Settle in as soothing ambient soundscapes guide you toward calm, clarity, and inner peace. Feel the vibration of crystal singing bowls and the grounding pulse of the drum as you practice deep listening and let the day melt away.

You’ll be immersed in a rich, evolving soundscape—ambient music and beautiful field recordings presented in quadraphonic sound.

No experience required. Come solo or bring a friend. Everyone is welcome.

Adee is the young entrepreneur behind Beauty A by Adee, a business she proudly launched as part of a school entrepreneurship project at The Mandala School.

Through the school’s annual Entrepreneur Fair, students are encouraged to design, create, and sell their own products. Over the years, Adee explored several creative ideas, including holiday cards and sun catchers. During her most recent project, she decided to create something she could continue developing beyond the classroom.

Because she loves makeup, Adee chose to develop lip gloss and lip balm products. While researching options, she learned how difficult it was to find clean, safe, and age-appropriate ingredients, which led her to create her own products with her family's support.

What began as a school project has since grown into a real business. Adee now sells her products through her website and Instagram page and participates in local community vending events. She continues to expand her product line, improve her formulas, and build her confidence as a young entrepreneur.

The creativity, encouragement, and entrepreneurial foundation provided at The Mandala School played a key role in helping Adee turn her classroom idea into a thriving small business.

We are so proud of Adee. Keep up the great work!

We’re celebrating two of our middle school students for outstanding achievements in the City of Bowie’s "Empower the Dream" art contest!

🥇 Emma Mummert placed 1st in the sixth-to-eighth-grade category with her artwork – congratulations, Emma!

🌟 Ella Abadoo was selected as a finalist for a beautiful dance routine she choreographed herself – an incredible accomplishment and creative leadership. Congratulations, Ella!

Both Emma and Ella were selected out of 100 submissions – we are so proud of their creativity, courage, and dedication.

To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and raise awareness about his accomplishments – and the continued need for social justice work – the City of Bowie Diversity Committee sponsors this annual contest for Bowie students.

2026 Contest Theme: “Empower the Dream: Creating Positive Change Together”

This theme invites students to reflect on Dr. King’s dream and ask: How can I help keep it alive today – in ways that create a kinder, fairer, more united world?

Celebrate the beauty of the season and the creativity of our students at The Mandala School’s Autumn Festival & Entrepreneur Fair! This annual community event brings families, friends, and neighbors together for a day of connection, creativity, and discovery. Stroll through our wooded campus and enjoy hands-on crafts, games, and seasonal activities among the trees.

Our young entrepreneurs will proudly showcase and sell their handmade creations—from imaginative crafts to original art and small inventions. Every item reflects the hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit that our students cultivate throughout the year. The day will also feature music, food, and plenty of fall fun for all ages.

🔬 This week at Summer in the Valley, we carefully excavated chocolate chips from cookies! 🍪 We also practiced patience while carefully excavating hidden objects.

This fun and tasty activity is hands-on science in action. By becoming paleontologists for the day, students explored observation, patience, and problem-solving through playful learning.
