It was a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible talent of our students at the Annual Bowdon Cluster Art Show and Fine Art Senior Capstone** Presentation. I continue to be inspired by the creativity and dedication within our cluster, our students never fail to impress!

Thank you Neil Ruby for meeting with each of our Fine Art Capstone Seniors, attending our Annual Bowdon Cluster Art Show, and all of your support to the Bowdon cluster!

**To earn the Fine Art Capstone distinction, students complete four years of visual art coursework, contribute a minimum of 20 hours of art-based community service, and develop a cohesive, thematic body of work presented at the annual cluster art show.

It was a beautiful day full of nature and artistic expression at the Carroll County Master Gardeners Native Plant Sale and Art In The Garden event.

In conjunction with the event, I had the opportunity to tour the Carrollton City Greenhouses, led by former Bowdon High School alum and Fine Art Capstone Senior, Brady Langley, who now serves as the Horticulture Specialist for the City. It was especially meaningful to see a former student thriving in a field that connects art, science, and community impact.

Participating Carroll County schools in Art in the Garden included Villa Rica High School, Central Middle School and Bowdon High School. Their contributions showcased the talent and creativity of our students and highlighted the importance of arts education within our community.

Change of date!! The Annual Bowdon Cluster Art Show has been rescheduled to next Thursday, April 23rd. Please come out and support our talented art students and their achievements!

The Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center proudly hosted their 7th Annual District Art Gala on Thursday, March 12, 2026..

Bowdon High School winners include: 1st place in Drawing, Yaniza Ponce, 2nd place in Painting, Hayden Fishburne, and 1st place in Mixed Media, Alex Williams.

More than 450 pieces of art in five categories, including drawing, painting, mixed media, 3-D, and digital art were submitted from all 23 of our schools. In addition, all five high schools selected one senior per school to create their own Senior Art Showcase that was presented at the evenings Gala event

Advanced Art students were hard at work today with clay! These students are creating ceramic containers reflecting their personalities. I can’t wait to see their finished work! Stay tuned! 👩🏼‍🎨

Tonight the Kiwanis art winners were recognized at the Kiwanis Art and Music Showcase! Congratulations to Abigail Cihla for receiving Best In Show for her painting Family Reflections, and Honorable Mentions awards to Calen Robinson, Casey Thompson, and Jerrico Hardy! I’m so proud of all the students who participated in this year’s Kiwanis Art Show!
