Book Fair Tuesday, November 25th in the library from 1-7pm hosted by our local Edison bookstore, Book Shucker. A percentage of sales will benefit Edison students with our ability to buy more books.

Come check out the library and curated selection of books, enjoy some juice & cookies, and keep your kids excited about reading!

Thank you Edison parents and staff, and community for supporting our book fair last June with our local bookstore, Book Shucker. Here are some of the titles bought with the money we earned. Next book fair will be November 25th 1pm-7pm in the Edison Library. We look forward to seeing families!

What an amazing group of 3rd graders! All the students worked hard and delved into the Washington State Otter Nominee books. The “Otter Team” came out on top for Edison and battled the other elementary schools in our district. With a small team of three students, they won and took the championship! I am so proud of our Edison readers ❤️. A big thank you to Eleanor at the Burlington Public Library for all her hard work to make this happen.

3rd Grade has been working on their team shirts for our book battle this week. They were very excited to make these. Thank you Edison Booster Club for your support! Another big shout out to Burlington Public Library for making this book battle happen!

Thank you to the Burlington Public Library WA for arranging our Battle of the Books for 3rd Grade. We have been reading the six Washington State Otter Award Nominees for 2025 in preparation for our Battle of the Books where Edison 3rd Grade teams will battle each other to answers questions about the books. The winning team will move forward to battle the winning teams from our other district elementary schools.

We have had an exciting last two weeks with illustrator zoom visit with Zoe Si and author visit with Kelly Starling Lyons. We read Teeny Houdini; The Disappearing Act and Miles Lewis; King of the Ice in preparation for these visits.

How lucky are our Edison Students? This aquarium was made by Cathy Entrikin to inspire Edison students to be CREATORS! She also makes incredible crocheted bookmarks for library prizes that will be treasured by our readers. THANK YOU Cathy for being part of our Edison community!
