Summer Tutoring Camp

I’m excited to offer a 8 week summer tutoring “camp” designed for Kindergarten-5th grade students. Each session is tailored by grade level and focuses on strengthening math, reading, and writing skills. This will help keep your student sharp and confident as they head into the new school year. All of the supplies will be provided.

​Dates: Every Wednesday July 2-August 20th
(​ One Make-up session available if you need to miss one​. Make ups are on Tuesdays only. )
Location: ​ My House in Sedro-Woolley

Cost: $4​5 per session | $​360 total for all 4
​P​rogress Reports Written at Each Session

Session Times by Grade:

​9:00-10:00 AM → Students entering ​Kindergarten (4 spots available)

10:00-11:00 Students entering 1st and 2nd Grade ​(4 spots available)

​1​1:00-12:00 → Students entering ​3rd and 4th grade (4 spots available)

​1​2:00-1:00 → Students entering ​5th grade (​4 spot​s available)

Tutoring
Does your child need a jump start before school starts? I am offering a 3 week, 6 hour jump start group tutoring reading academy. 5 spots available.
Group tutoring is a quick and easy way to help your child build confidence, build social skills, be more engaged in learning in a fun group setting, and students are more motivated to learn reading skills together!
What this includes:
Dates: Thursdays Aug. 15, 22, 29
Where: My house 386 Klinger st. SW
Time: 10:00-12:00
Grades: 1-5
Cost: $200 total
Areas of Focus: Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Curriculum: UFLI, San Diego Quick Assessment, And TPT interactive reading games.
Requirements: cost is due at first session and dates are not flexible due to the structured lessons that are planned.
Commitment: A fun learning environment for your child to boost start their school year!

Happy New Year’s Family and Friends!

Hi Friends and Families,

Many of you have heard that I will be closing down the Schoolhouse at the end of Fall Session (December). I’m overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from our community towards the schoolhouse.

While I am immensely proud of what I have created in Miss Billie Jo’s Schoolhouse, it’s time for me to step away in order to focus on other endeavors. What started out as a small after school tutoring business has grown into a successful operation that has provided one on one tutoring opportunities to close to a hundred students over the past 41/2 years. It is an established business that has helped bridge learning gaps, boosted student confidence, helped students overcome academic challenges and led them to being more independent in their learning!

Ms. Billie Jo’s has the most knowledgeable and dedicated tutors who use quality, proven curriculum to support our learners. I can also say that the schoolhouse has a strong client list of dedicated parents who want the best for their children. While I am ready to step away, I do not wish to see this important work end. This pic popped up on my memories and my emotions were over the top. I truly am blessed with two amazing daughters in so many ways!! I may get so stressed and question their every move but I know God has them in his hands and they WILL move mountains!

Fall Session is going great! I personnally am trying to check in with all my students to make sure their individual lesson plans are meeting their needs. I am extrememly happy with the growth I see in confidence, organization, and learning. I am blessed to have such great staff, families, and students.
