The Mustang Band has spent the last two weeks hard at work during summer band! Students have been learning music, building fundamentals, and most importantly, growing together as a band family.

After two weeks of summer band we finished it all off Friday with our 2nd Annual Mustang Band Round Up! 🎉

Our students and their families came together for an evening of tacos, water balloons, and some well-earned fun to celebrate everything we accomplished during summer band.

We still have plenty of work ahead of us, but we couldn’t be more excited about the start this group has made. The 2026 Mighty Mustang Marching Band season is officially underway, and we can’t wait to SHINE! ☀️✨

We have reached the beginning of another school year and our Mighty Mustang Band members have been hard at work!

We would like to reward their work and also start off the school year with some good food and fun!!

If you have a student in the Mustang Band (8-12 grades) please attend the parent meeting at 5PM in the cafeteria. Right after the meeting we will head to the park!

Summer Band is almost here!!! ☀️

The Mighty Mustang Band Summer Schedule is here! These rehearsals mark the beginning of our journey toward this year's marching show, Shine, and are an essential part of preparing for a successful season.

Please review the attached schedule carefully. Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals is expected for every member of the Mighty Mustang Band (Grades 8-12), as each rehearsal builds on the last. Please make contact with the band directors regarding and absences.

All Mighty Mustang Band students are also required to join our Band App group. This is our primary method of communication throughout the season, and important announcements, schedule updates, reminders, and other information will be shared there. If your student has not joined yet, please make sure they do so as soon as possible.

As we begin another exciting year, we are looking forward to watching our students grow as musicians, performers, leaders, and teammates. Thank you to our band families and community for your continued support of the Bovina Bands program. Your encouragement and commitment help make our success possible.

We can't wait to see everyone back together as we begin an exciting season of music, hard work, and Mustang Pride!

This weekend, members of the Mighty Mustang Band took on San Antonio for our end-of-year trip! From The Alamo to SeaWorld to Schlitterbahn to the Riverwalk, our students made the most of every moment, creating incredible memories and strengthening the bonds that make our band so special!

It was a awesome to see our band family enjoying time together and celebrating a great year! Take a look at a few highlights from an unforgettable weekend! ☀️

The 7th Grade C**t Band traveled to Denver City today to participate in the UIL Region 16 Concert and Sightreading Evaluations.

🎉 The 7th Grade C**t Band received Division 2 - “Excellent” ratings in the concert portion and Division 2 - “Excellent” ratings in the sight reading portion! 🎉

This group of students has grown tremendously from the start of the year to now. They finished off the year strong and now look forward to joining the ranks of the Mighty Mustang Band in the fall.

We are extremely proud of all of our students and look forward to performing at home for our community at our Spring Concert at the end of the month. (More information about the spring concert will be posted soon)

The Mighty Mustang Band traveled to Denver City today to participate in the UIL Region 16 Concert and Sightreading Evaluations.

🎉 The Mighty Mustang Band received straight Division 2 - “Excellent” ratings in the concert portion and straight Division 1 - “Superior” ratings in the sight reading portion! 🎉

This group of students has been constantly working, evolving, and pushing forward. This performance wraps up a successful year for the band after having received a Division 2 - “Excellent” rating at the UIL Region 16 Marching Contest this past fall.

We are extremely proud of all of our students and look forward to performing at home for our community at our Spring Concert at the end of the month. (More information about the spring concert will be posted soon)
