Cornerstone Preschool We strive to provide a caring, Christian environment for your child. We hope you will choose to enroll your child at Cornerstone Preschool!

We provide children ages 3-5 with age appropriate curriculum and activities to promote growth, development and di You may choose to send your child 2 mornings or 3 mornings each week. Our yearly schedule is based on the Bourbonnais School District #53 calendar. Classes run from the beginning of September through the end of May. Field trips, special events, and programs are planned throughout the y

ear including a Christmas Program! Our curriculum is a Bible-based preschool curriculum called “Bright Beginnings”, published by the Gospel Light. It is made specifically for church preschool programs. This brand new curriculum series incorporates Bible stories, songs, and crafts into developmental activities. There are activities in art, language, math, science and motor skills. The children will not only learn about numbers, letters, shapes and colors but they will hear daily lessons of God’s love, power and faithfulness.

Last week was exciting! Our caterpillars/chrysalis finished their transformation and ALL 12 of them became butterflies! We kept them for a couple days and then released them to go out and continue the cycle! We also had our first water day of the summer! Talked about ladybugs 🐞 all week as well. Also did some fishing at the pond! 🎣

Caterpillars 🐛 showed up 2 weeks ago and as of this weekend are now in chrysalis! The ants 🐜 showed up last week and did not disappoint! We have seen tunnels being built and lots of work happening to make our farm their home. Last week we focused on ants and had fun with science experiments and art projects. And we have slowly had some visitors on our window bird feeder! This week it’s on to worms 🪱

We have been busy! Muffins with mom event today(was so caught up in the moment didn’t get as many pics as I wanted), flying kites, talking about planting and seeds to flowers, playing in our gardening sensory bin, catching a cricket named crickety 😂, playing outside whenever the weather allows us and soaking in our final month before summer! 😮‍💨 It has been a GREAT year and I’m not ready for it to end!
