The end of another season brings with it the Cross Country Awards.
Congrats to all the kids on a great season!!

The Triton Athletic Awards went out to:

Macy Carson, Kayla Poff, and Colton Large for Academic All-Conference. Congrats to you three, Amazing Job!!

The 8 Point Sport Awards went out to Rilee Bemish and Colton Large! Awesome accomplishment!!

The Girls XC Varsity Awards:
Varsity Letters went out to the entire team.
McKenna Emenaker was awarded MVP
Kensie Schuh was Most Improved
Coaches Awards went to Rilee Bemish and Evelyn Gephart

The Boys XC Varsity Awards:
Varsity Letters to all 3 boys, Johnathon Prince, Colton Large, and Grant Williams.
Colton Large was also given the Metal Attitude Award
Grant Williams also received the Coaches Award

What a nice cool fall morning for the Regional XC Meet. The Triton girls were sent off to Huntington in wonderful fashion by our beloved fire departments!! The field was stacked with some very elite runners. The Girls Varsity Race had 243 runners in all. The 1st place girl overall ran a killer 17:41 5K.
Our Triton girls did amazing. All ran well with McKenna Emenaker and Izzy Rettinger both setting new Personal Records for themselves to end the season. Unfortunately none of the girls will be advancing to State. But they should all be proud of the season they had. It's been one of the best teams Triton has had in a long time. We wish them all the best in the coming years. To our Seniors...you all will be deeply missed and we wish you all the best in your endeavors beyond Triton!!

‼️ATTENTION ALL‼️
XC Regional Bound Bus leaves Triton at 8:05am tomorrow morning with a Firetruck Es**rt through town to send the XC Varsity Girls off with a BANG!!! LINE THE STREETS. THEY WILL BE CROSSING THE MAINSTREET LIGHT INTERSECTION!!
I believe Liberty to Harris to Main, North to Hwy 30.

I'm unsure if anyone was actually able to purchase the tickets. But if you did, please post here. We may need to get you new tickets.

It was a beautiful fall day in Manchester for the Cross Country Sectional 6 meet. 15 area schools came together to run their hearts out for a chance to qualify for Regionals next weekend in Huntington. It was only the top 7 Varsity girls from Triton that took the field today as a team, the boys were unable to field anyone. The top 3 girls for Triton ran as good or better times then they did on the same course earlier in the season. The other 4 struggled a bit today but still pulled off great finishes. Unfortunately the girls team did not qualify, placing 8th out of the 9 teams there today. Only the top 5 teams advance. BUT once those top 5 teams are pulled from the field, the next 15 runners qualify as individuals to run at Regionals. Triton didn't have one, didn't have two, but had FOUR of it's 7 girls qualify for Regionals as individuals.
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Freshman McKenna Emenaker, Freshman Evelyn Gephart, Senior Rilee Bemish, and Freshman Izzy Rettinger for making it through in the field of 15 qualifiers. Kensie Schuh was close behind and only missed the 15 individual qualifiers by only 2 spots. I should point out that McKenna also missed the top 20 runners overall by only 2 spots today also. We are so proud of our varsity girls. You ALL have had an amazing season. We can't wait to see how you all do next weekend at Regionals. Plan to come out and cheer on the girls Saturday October 25th, at 11:15am at Huntington University for the New Haven Regional 2.
