Tonight was only the second time in the school’s 18+ year history that we held class without power, due to regional outages from high winds. Grateful the lamps we used during the pandemic still had some juice left. A year spent training in a local park came back to mind.

I would like to congratulate Seth D. for earning his Red-Green Sash tonight! As well as welcome him into our Teacher Training Program starting next year. Keep up the hard work and dedication to your training.

And thank you to his classmates who came to support and witness his test. As well as join us for dinner to celebrate his achievement!

Finally, we also celebrated BKFA’s recent 18th anniversary. I’m grateful to have been able to share traditional Chinese martial and healing arts with everyone who has had the curiosity and courage to explore this path. Thank you to all the students, past and present, who have helped shape the academy and community through the years.
