Picking The Right Options ⬇️
✅ Step 1: Check IV (Implied Volatility).
If Low IV (More than 50): better for buying options (calls/puts). You’re not overpaying.
If High IV (Less than 50): better for selling options (cash-secured puts or covered calls). You get paid more premium.
Think of IV as the “weather forecast” of a stock. High IV = stormy (more risk, more premium). Low IV = calm (better for buying).
✅ Step 2: Have a clear entry.
First, check the trend (higher highs/lows on the weekly or daily).
Then look at location, are you near support or resistance?
Add indicators for confirmation: RSI around 40-50, MACD crossing to confirm momentum, and candles like an engulfing bar or long wick to understand whether buyers are stepping in.
A setup gives you rules. Without it, you’re gambling.
✅ Step 3: Size risk properly.
Never bet half your account. Risk 1-3% per trade so you can stay in the game.
This way, even if you lose, one trade won’t erase weeks of progress.
✅ Step 4: Take profits early.
Aim to exit around 30-50% profit instead of holding and hoping.
