The Idea Forge is a cross-disciplinary design and prototyping space in the Fleming Building. Everyone on campus is welcome.
The Idea Forge is a flexible, cross-disciplinary collaborative space where students can imagine, design, create, and test products and solutions to meet a range of societal and customer needs. The space includes Design Center Colorado, which supports student teams working on invention and innovation as part of courses, as well as design and development driven by entrepreneurial-minded individuals

Idea Forge machine shop coordinator puts his sewing skills to the test During the coronavirus pandemic, Greg Potts, machine shop coordinator in the Idea Forge, joined many others in pursuing a new hobby: mask-making. He has made over 250 masks and plans to sew at least 100 more.
