Horses and Human Societies was established in 2016 to investigate impacts of horses - wild and domestic - in human societies across the New and Old World in prehistory. The Horses and Human Societies project explores the origins of horseback riding and horse herding in East and Central Asia, and the ways in which horses have transformed human societies in both Eurasia and North America through interdisciplinary archaeological research.
