Last week, the seniors returned from their epic leadership expedition on the Green River through Desolation and Gray Canyons, an immersive 10 days through 84 miles of Utah’s rugged and stunningly beautiful wilderness.

This week, they participated in 4 Leadership Discussion Days, holding in-depth conversations with their Class Sponsors and Leadership Council members about key aspects of life at Tara and preparing to put their peer leadership skills to daily use at school, in rehearsals and in life beyond Tara.
Deer Hill Expeditions

For 33 years, Tara’s Candlelight Festival has brought our community together through music, light, and tradition.

This year, 7th & 8th graders and recent Tara graduates are invited to join the Tara Candlelight Choir and sing alongside the high school choir.

Rehearsals begin October 5 and take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 4–6 PM, with additional rehearsals during December and throughout Festival Week.

The season culminates in six performances at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, December 18–20, at 5 and 8 PM.

35 full or partial scholarships, one door into an extraordinary educational experience.

Tara students travel the world, perform on stage, and wrestle with big ideas, often all in the same semester. The performing arts sit at the center of our curriculum, not as an extracurricular, but as a lens through which students learn to think, collaborate, and engage with everything around them. Faculty who are genuinely passionate about their subjects, combined with first-hand encounters with culture and history, push that curiosity further.

We are newly committed to making sure that no one is turned away due to lack of funds. Apply now.
