帮助孩⼦们有条不紊地完成中⽂⼆年级暑 假作业，引导对拼音的认知，为下学期开 始正式 学习拼音做好准备。

CTC-3 Teacher: Rong He

CTC-6/7 Teacher: Zhen Zhang

● 每周完成⼀本绘本或章节，记取好 词好句，分享读后感，学习写作技 巧

● 欣赏影视、音乐作品，聆听精彩对 话，解析背后的⽂化密码

● 听故事，学历史，在典故中博古通 今，在思考中说古道今

CTC-8/9 Teacher: Ying Tan

选择 A）每周⼀，周三，周五 上午 10:00-12:00 （时间可以调整）, 6月7日开课, $300

系统地学习马立平九年级的《中华⽂化巡礼》的教材。《巡礼》里的⼋个⽂化内容版块 将中华⽂化中的“必知”内容有效有理地整合，以“老师给学⽣讲故事”的⼝吻设计的课 ⽂，通俗易懂，越学兴趣越⾼。学完了这套教材再参加AP中⽂和⽂化考试，顺理成 章，⽔到渠成。适用于学过马立平8年级（日校准备进⼊9-11年级）的学⽣。⼀共24次 课，每周三次两小时的课，共⼋周。

选择 B）每周日下午 2:00-4:00 上课, 6月13日开课, $120

以⼋首绝妙诗词为引⼦，云游中国。通过学习中华⽂化进⼀步提升听说读写，并为准备 AP考试的学⽣补充中华⽂化的内容。每周⼀次两小时的课，共⼋周。

少⼉舞蹈班 ⽼师：张甄

每周三下午4:30-5:30 上课，6月9日开课，$90

借鉴中国舞考级第5、6级的教学内容，继续夯实基本功，提升舞蹈表现⼒。

国画书法班 ⽼师：丁国泰

每周⼆下午4:00-5:00 (时间可以调整)，6月8日开课，$90

开设中国书画班，并在夏令营设置少年书画普及班。其目的在于弘扬中华⽂化，给热爱 中国书画的孩⼦普及中国书画，让孩⼦们初步认识和学习书法和绘画的基本技巧。希望 热爱中华⽂化的少年们踊跃报名，希望家长们积极支持！

Chess Club Teacher: Alex Zhang

每周日 下午 3:00-4:00 （时间可以调整），6月13日开课，$60

In this summer chess club, we will review multiple concepts of chess for players at different levels. The club will go over certain topics such as tactics, openings, as well as middlegame and endgame practice. There will be one-on-one game sessions, and a tournament with cash prizes will be held at the end.

Math Club Teacher: Alex Zhang & Kelly Yang

每周日 下午 5:00-6:00 （时间可以调整），6月13日开课，$60

This summer math club is for students in Grade 5-7, with a particular focus on competition math. Tentative topics include algebra, number theory, counting and probability, and geometry. Students will learn and practice together in fun competitions.

Zumba Teacher: Karina Xaubet

每周五下午5:30- 6:30 上课, 6月11日开课， $90

From the teacher: I've been a ZIN™ Member since Aug 2015 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! Come join me for the livestream Zumba classes for Bohua School this summer at 5:30 pm on Fridays, I guarantee you will have a blast!

Beginner Debate Teacher: Emily Hao & Hannah Wang

每周日下午4:00-5:00 上课, 6月13日开课，$75

The beginner-style class will go over the basics of debate along with how to write debate cases or arguments. This class will require less work than the advanced one, but your student is still expected to keep up with the workload.

Advanced Debate Teacher: Haiyan Wang & Wilson He

每周日下午4:00-5:00 上课, 6月13日开课，$75

The more advanced debate class is structured toward getting ready for high school debate, researching effectively, writing strong arguments, and increasing your analysis skills. This class will have more work than the beginner class and it is expected that your student keeps up with everything assigned.

Dear all,

The tragedy that occurred at the King Soopers grocery store yesterday afternoon (Mar 22) at Table Mesa and Broadway has thrown the Boulder community into fear, anxiety, and deep sorrow. Our hearts go out to those who lost their lives, their beloved and many others impacted by this devastating act of violence in our neighborhood.

The Bohua Chinese School community has actively offered our sympathy, empathy and support to the victims’ relatives, first responders, and many people impacted by this terrible event.

Registration open for 2020 Bohua Summer Camp classes

Dear all,

Due to the recent pandemic, only very limited classes and camps will be offered to the general public in this summer. The school council has received multiple inquiries and suggestions from the teachers and parents regarding the possibility of offering some learning opportunities during this challenging time. After serious consideration and intensive discussions among the school council and consultation with the teachers, Bohua Chinese School decides to offer some Chinese and EC classes in this summer. It should be noted the Chinese classes offered in this summer session won’t follow the curriculum we have been using in regular fall/spring semesters. Instead, the main goal of these classes is to inspire the students’ interest in learning while strengthening their Chinese language skills. Some EC classes are also offered.

The attached is the list of classes to be offered in this summer session (8 weeks total, between June 7 and Aug 2, class times varied). The registration link is shown below:

The registration deadline is 12pm (noon) on this Sunday (June 7), and the tuition is due upon registration. This video captures the BoHua community efforts of supporting the healthcare professionals in our fight of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020.

As of May 20, 2020, the Bohua COVID-19 Donation Account, which was specifically set up for collecting donations for local hospitals, has received $7,612 USD in total.

Bohua Chinese School has totally donated 15,486 masks, 3,650 gloves plus other personal protection equipment, and we have delivered them to the following medical facilities.

We delivered the 7th batch of medical supplies to Lutheran medical center in Wheat Ridge yesterday, 4/11, which includes 550 face masks and 12 packs of wipes. All of the supplies were donated by members of the Chinese American community in the greater Boulder area. These masks were mostly sent by our friends and families in China for our personal protection, but we are happy to donate them to the front-line healthcare professionals. You are our heroes, and we truly understand that we are all in this together, and we are stronger together!!

Donation Update # 800 surgical masks have been delivered to The Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center by Bohua Chinese School on April 2. The Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced at the news conference that the Colorado was looking elsewhere to try to get the supplies it needs to fight the COVID-19 outbreak and prevent hospitals from being overrun. Let’s work together!
