Meet Bert Foster, Dog!

Bio: When he came to us through Old Dogs New Digs Rescue, his tag read "Bert Foster Dog" so we decided Foster was his last name and "Dog" is his title, hence Bert Foster, Dog.
Like many rescue pups, 13-year-old Bert has had a 'ruff' go. As a puppy he was surrendered to a veterinarian in Alabama because his family could not afford the treatment for his Parvo diagnosis. The vet treated him, but sadly never adopted him out, so Bert spent 12 years living in a kennel in a pet hospital. That’s not the life Bert deserved. Despite that lack of nurturing, his character shined through, and Bert is still as happy-go-lucky as they come! Sweet, affectionate, and playful with all the energy and coordination of a toddler playing soccer for the first time. He is thrilled with his new life here in Colorado, where for the first time ever he has a house with toys, a big bed, and his new foster sisters who are trying to teach him "how to dog" in this magical place called a backyard. But his dream, what would make his whole life complete, is a forever family to call his own.. and winning this photo contest just might help him do that!
