With the backdrop of the beautiful outdoors, our preschoolers can use nature play to improve motor and logic skills, all while fostering their imagination.

We know it can be difficult to do “the simple stuff” as a new parent. Even if you’ve done this before, parenting always comes with new and surprising challenges. 🍼

That’s why we created Nestlings in Nature, a program of Nature Together. With gentle walks around Coal Creek, caregivers and their infants can slow down and connect with themselves, their community, and nature in a safe, beautiful space. 🦋

Nestlings in Nature is an 8-week series from 9am - 10:15am on Tuesdays starting September 9th.

Another adventurous day at Thorne Nature Preschool! We spent the day exploring the creek — splashing in the water, turning over rocks, and discovering the little critters Coal Creek has to offer.

Today, our preschool classes had a very artsy Earth Day! 🎨

When children are exposed to and involved in visual arts like drawing and crafting, they are better able to express themselves both now and later in life.🐛

Today, our Dragonflies class got to experience our great horned owl neighbors as well! 🦉💚🦋

Teacher Greyson even brought the tail wing of a great horned owl for our students to feel!
