CU Boulder International Affairs Program - IAFS IAFS is a challenging major that offers students an interdisciplinary perspective on the world today.

International Affairs is recognized as a challenging and innovative major, requiring coursework in the allied fields of political science, economics, history, geography, anthropology, and modern languages. In addition, through the geographic concentration, students become well acquainted with at least one selected region of the world outside of the United States and attain proficiency in the language of that region, as well as familiarity with its cultural and political activities. Regions of concentration include: Africa/Middle East, Asia, Europe/Eurasia, and Latin America. This academic foundation is further strengthened by practical applications, international experiences, and a global service orientation. The program also offers an internship class and an honors program, as well as several certificates.
