Dr. Sarah Hernandez discusses We Are the Stars, a literary recovery project that restores the literary record of early and contemporary Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota women as culture keepers and bearers. She analyzes the work of key figures within the Oceti Sakowin literary tradition, including Charles Eastman, Ella Deloria, and Elizabeth Cook-Lynn, to name a few.

Visions of Just and Sustainable Futures Roundtable
Dr. Seema Sohi will be in conversation with two exceptional advocates for environmental justice and a just transition: Rhiana Gunn-Wright and Varshini Prakash. Reflecting on their successful work as a key architect of the Green New Deal and as a co-founder of the Sunrise Movement, they will address the importance of centering justice in sustainability policy, as well as the ways women of color have always have and continue to provide critical leadership for more sustainable futures.
