Funky Knutt Sewing Classes Creative sewing classes by Beth Sutherland The Funky Knutt story...

I have been sewing since I was 5, when my Mom began teaching me. I still do.

I won a few Blue Ribbons at the fair! I was proud and so was my Mom. Fast forward a few years and I was in clothing design school at the University of Minnesota. After school, I started two clothing lines, B Design and a kids line with my BFF called, Petite Couquette. I'm a wardrobe stylist, having worked on feature films, 100's of commercials and photo shoots. Since moving to Colorado from Minneapolis with my husband, middle schoolers, and a crazy dog, I've taught beginning sewing, American Girl doll clothing design and a few fashion classes. I love working with kids, I was a Girl Scout Leader for 6 years with 3 other fearless woman...and still have patches that need to be sewn on! The idea of Funky Knutt comes from my love of teaching kids and adults of all ages to sew through creativity. Keeping it fun and empowering the creative spirit can produce things that we couldn't imagine possible - whether Funky or Knutty, it all works! I live in Boulder, close to Chautauqua where I have my creek side studio. I'm also a short distance from Longmont, Nederland and Denver. Funky Knutt is moving to Minneapolis ! Thanks to all
my fabulous students. What
amazing creativity! I had so
much fun.

For now my family is busy getting our magical creekside house by Chautauqua ready to
sell. I can only hope to find a place in Minneapolis that is as awesome and inspiring .

Boulder we will miss you !!!!!
