Who doesn't love polar bears? A new paper from National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) and the PolarPASS team indicates that they're an absolute hit in the classroom. 🐻‍❄️

Using interactive 360-degree environments and Geographic Information System (GIS) data, along with more traditional learning resources, PolarPASS provides a science-based curriculum that immerses students in unique polar locations and brings them up close and personal with Earth science data and field locations.

HUGE congratulations to CEEE's Ryan Vachon—research associate and expert film producer—winner of the 2026 Heartland Emmy Award for Best Topical Documentary for his film, "Fracture." 👏
