“No such thing as bad weather!” 🌬️✨
We say it often, and we mean it. A big part of raising nature-loving kiddos is learning to find joy in all kinds of weather, even the wild, windy days that can feel a little big and a little scary.
This year’s extra gusty winds gave us the perfect chance to get creative. With play silks in hand, the children turned into soaring superheroes and fluttering flags, discovering how to play with the wind instead of hiding from it. 💨🧣
Through imagination, movement, and a little bravery, those blustery moments became full of laughter, confidence, and wonder.
Here’s to embracing the elements and finding magic in every forecast. 🌈

Our Bunch Bike has truly changed our days for the better. 🚲
My favorite part of the day is getting to ask the kids, “Where do we want to go today?” And immediately getting countless eager suggestions.
Exploring around Boulder together has brought so much inspiration into our days. We stop when something catches their interest, visit favorite spots, and discover new ones all the time.
It’s become such a wonderful way to support the child-led spirit of Frida’s Garden. The kiddos get to help choose where we go and what we explore, and every ride turns into a little adventure.
I’m so grateful for the freedom it’s given us to explore, notice the world around us, and follow the kids’ curiosity wherever it leads.rit

A Little Magic From Today ✨
While exploring the park, the kiddos discovered a beautiful fallen branch. Just like that, the idea of our very own holiday tree was born!
Back at daycare, we brought the vision to life with cardboard shapes, paint, paper, and glue. The kids’ imaginations soared as they created the most colorful, imaginative ornaments.
We added the ornaments to the branch, and our holiday tree came to life!
Today was a wonderful reminder of the magic that unfolds when children lead.

A little campsite play scene with some help from my recycling bin 😊
Sustainable play is a big hit at Frida’s Garden. It’s great for the environment and encourages children’s problem-solving skills and imagination.
There are times when kids know EXACTLY what they want to play with. Sometimes you don’t have exactly the right thing on hand. This is a great opportunity to skip the store and ask a question like “I wonder if we could make that. What do you think?”. You might find that they enjoy building it just as much as they like playing with the end result!
