We are sooo back! 🌟

This month, we’re reopening the dome with brand-new JVC projectors and a refreshed 8K theater experience.

This upgrade was 13 years in the making, and the wait was absolutely worth it. The new system features brighter images, sharper details, deeper contrast, and stunningly vibrant colors filling the dome.

Whether you’re a longtime visitor or it’s your first trip to Fiske, there’s never been a better time to experience the universe above you.

Come see the difference for yourself this summer. 🚀✨

Look up tonight for a rare Blue Moon lighting up the night sky! 🌕✨

Despite the name, the moon won’t actually appear blue. A “Blue Moon” is the second full moon in a calendar month which marks a special celestial event that only happens once every two to three years! The official full moon occurs at 2:45 a.m. MDT on 5/31, but skywatchers will likely notice it best as it rises on the evening of 5/30, just hours before peak fullness.

Whether you’re stargazing, taking photos, or just enjoying a quiet evening outside, this is the perfect excuse to pause and appreciate the beauty above us. 🌌

Look up at dusk tonight for a beautiful celestial meetup 🌒✨

The waxing crescent Moon will appear right beside brilliant Venus, then continue its journey across the sky over the next two evenings, passing between Venus and Jupiter tomorrow night before moving just above Jupiter the following evening.

One of the best parts of astronomy is watching the rhythms of the night sky unfold in real time. We hope you get a chance to enjoy the view with us 🌟

Before humanity took its first steps on the Moon, there was the mission that proved it could be done. 🌕🚀

Apollo 10 was the final “dress rehearsal” before the historic Moon landing. It tested orbital maneuvers and mission operations just months before Apollo 11.

The mission even brought a little personality to space — the command module was nicknamed “Charlie Brown,” while the lunar module was called “Snoopy.” 🐶🌟

Today, its legacy lives on through Artemis as humanity prepares to return to the Moon and venture farther into deep space.

From rehearsal to the next giant leap. 🌎➡️🌕

On this day, the world looked beyond Earth a little differently 🚀✨

The launch of Skylab marked a major milestone in space exploration as it became America’s first space station and a home for groundbreaking scientific discoveries in orbit. From studying the Sun to understanding how humans adapt to life in space, Skylab helped pave the way for the future of long-duration missions and modern space stations.

More than just a spacecraft, Skylab was proof that curiosity and innovation can take humanity farther than ever imagined. ☀️🛰️

Today let’s celebrate the mission that turned space into a place we could truly live, work, and explore!

It’s hard not to be wowed by Artemis and the stunning images capturing humanity’s return to deep space exploration 🚀🌕

As Artemis carries us toward the Moon once again, we’ll also be looking back at the milestones that made it possible — from Skylab to Apollo 10 and Moon phases throughout the month.

Stay tuned for more space history, discoveries, and moments worth celebrating!
