If you’re going to be anybody, be the best YOU possible

Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in a thought or carried away with a mood. It can really impact our quality and send us into a maze of emotions. If we're not careful, we can lose our sense of direction and purpose.

It’s like putting on a Halloween mask.

Without warning a shift moves us from one personality to the next.

We become another side of ourselves. We often wear lots of masks...we wear a confidence mask, and a self-critical mask. We wear a worried mask and a determined mask.

We’re multifaceted by nature.

Self-awareness allows us to observe each facet and embrace our own complexity without judgement.

Until a different side of us shows up, it’s a perfect opportunity to visit with and get to know “this” side...to understand the needs, wants, and desires that make us who we are today.

It’s the only way we can learn to deepen our relationship with ourselves. We must first have a successful relationship with ourselves to be successful at work, at play, and connecting with others.

Here's why you hate .

I’ve been there.

Our society seems obsessed with , and although we all know we make , this society sets us up to believe if we want to achieve , we must never fail. We tend to take it out on ourselves more when we fail because we’ve been taught failure is unacceptable.

So here are three main reasons why people hate failure and how to fix it.

#1 Failing Evokes

#2 Failing brings up and fears of being judeged

#3 Failing causes us to in the moment that we will ever succeed.

I’ve found the best way to the dread of failure is to stop defining mistakes or unhappy outcomes as failure. It’s more helpful to realize the ONLY true definition of failure is “choosing to never make an attempt”.

Just because you tried something and it didn’t work the way you wanted it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It just means you haven’t yet achieved the desired results.

So do what scientists do...invoke the when it comes to your success journey. Make an . Ask a . Form a . Make a based on the hypothesis. Test the prediction. Figure out what did and didn’t work, then reform your hypothesis and start again.

If you don’t get the you want the first time, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you succeeded in learning what didn’t work. Apply your new understanding and keep experimenting!

Success is a willful, conscious, intentional, creative process that insures you .

I’ve worked with too many clients who’ve sacrificed their relationships, heath, soul, and integrity to achieve what they thought was success.

But if success costs that much…it isn’t really success, is it??? It’s more of an obsession.

HERE ARE THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK WHEN FACED WITH AN IMPORTANT CHOICE:

1. Will THIS choice support or contradict my core values?

2. What’s the WORST consequence that I could face when making this choice and can I handle it if it happens?

3. What else might be possible? What other option have I not considered?

Remember, the more clear you get about your values, strengths, and self-identity, the better you’re able to !

TRUE Success is bigger than your goals, your career, your money, or your processes. It’s a deep, lasting commitment to always put your best self forward because you’re driven by your values and ideals.

Those with unshakable integrity know and honor their values with unwavering confidence. And they’ll keep doing it. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s right.

They develop a heart-centered life practice that permeates out into all aspects of their be-ing. Their habits become trusted rituals that inspire flow and happiness.

They practice mindfulness and self-observation until it becomes second nature…energetically aligning themselves with their desired results.

THERE IS A WAITING FOR YOU.

You just need to choose it.

If there’s one thing we CAN control in this crazy time, it’s the day-to-day choices we make. And the truth is, we have to take 100% responsibility for our individual choices…no more and .

Accept the blame for the times your choices fell short, but don’t fall into ... to be present, intentional, and values-driven going forward!

I remember feeling like I would never pull it together and that maybe I should give up. I didn’t know myself and I hadn’t developed healthy

I kept letting my take over, and made choices based on my . And I ALWAYS ended up regretting those choices! Breaking this seemed almost impossible!

But I am so glad that I didn’t give up because now I feel great about the choices I make, trust myself, and feel so much more at peace with myself.

Something I NEVER thought would come so quickly.

I didn’t think I could TRULY achieve and .

I tell you this because I want you to realize I UNDERSTAND.

I used to feel the same way…I just finally decided I’d had enough.

I was ready to stop letting my emotions control me. I was ready to live without . And I was ready to stop beating myself up or blaming others for my situation.
