May invites children outside as it is filled with life! May is bright and full of movement, bees buzzing, colors blooming, maypoles wrapped in colors and laughing, dancing children.

With more light and warmth, more time, children feel there is room for whatever they would like.

And…this is just the beginning.🌞

This quote reminds us as parents that the wonder and joy of early childhood often comes from being fully engaged in the moment, something young children do naturally.

This is an invitation to slow down with your preschooler and notice small everyday experiences together. Presence is what creates the feeling of “magic,” not just youth itself.

It’s okay for childhood to feel slow, simple and unhurried. Young children are often most content, happiest and creative doing ordinary things…pretend play, quiet afternoons, nature walks, drawing and daydreaming.

When there is a little more space in their day, imagination has room to grow naturally. You do not have to fill every moment for your child to have a beautiful, meaningful childhood.

Slow down and let them lead the way.
