WE DID ITTTTTT!!!

The Boulder City Jr/High School Rodeo Team was voted Best Recreation Activity, Group & Club in Best of Boulder City 2026!

We are beyond proud of this team and all of our incredible kids who work so hard, love their horses, support each other, and represent our little town so well.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, supports our team, cheers for these kids, and helps make all of this possible.

This one feels exceptionally special.

Way to go!!!

Go pick up the latest edition of the Boulder City Review!

Our rodeo team is getting some serious hometown love lately. Not one, but two amazing shoutouts in two weeks!

This week it’s all about Evalynn Robles, who competed at the National Junior High School Finals Rodeo in Nebraska this past June! Evalynn competed against the best rodeo athletes from across the country, and we are so proud of her and everything she’s accomplished.

And we know she’s just getting started. Keep an eye out for this powerhouse!

Congratulations again, Evalynn! We are so lucky to have you on our team!

What an incredible accomplishment for Aiden Brown and Alyvia Madsen! We couldn't be more proud!

Representing Boulder City in the high school rodeo scene, Aiden Brown and Alyvia Madsen competed in the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in Lincoln, Neb. from July 19-25.

Email from Kathy!!

Hello. Hope you all had a great summer.

Please remember that I will need your final grades from last year if you did not turn them in at state finals.

I am attaching an updated eligibility/grade check due date document. This year, all members, home school and public/private will have the same grade/progress report check dates. They will be every 3 weeks and will be due by email on or before the due date. For those members who are in public/private schools, I will need a picture of your current grades sent to me via email. The picture needs to include your school name, the members name and the grades. There will not be an eligibility form this year. This report due date list is also posted on the website under the member information page. Please note that if I don't get an email before or on the due date, you may not be able to rodeo.

Also, our website was updated and each rodeo will be listed with all the information as I get it. It looks different than you are used to, but I hope it will be easier to navigate. There will be an actual updated schedule in your packet when you check in at the Eureka rodeo. If you are not going to the first rodeo, it will be in the packet when you get it.

We are still using the online entry system. It will be on the homepage in our website, nevadastatehsra.net. Just click on the button, type in your name and scroll down to enter the rodeo you want. The rodeos will be listed as soon as I get the activity sheets. If you try to enter and you can't find your name, please let me know asap so I can fix it. To get stalls at each rodeo, more than likely you will need to email me with the amount of stalls needed. That information should be listed under each rodeo.

For those new members, you will need to be sure I have all the paperwork (membership and release form for the state and membership and release form for the national association) along with final grades from last year (unless your a 5th grader) and a copy of your birth certificate sent or given to me along with the $26 state fee.

For current members, you can hand in your paperwork at the Eureka rodeo if you are entered in that, but please email me your state application so I can have some beginning information.

State Finals looked good on you, Emma. ❤️

We want to highlight an incredible accomplishment for Emma Carmack at the Nevada High School Rodeo State Finals!

Competing for the title of Rodeo Queen is about so much more than wearing a crown. Contestants are evaluated on their horsemanship, rodeo knowledge, public speaking, professionalism, personality, and their ability to represent the sport of rodeo with confidence and class. Emma rose to that challenge every step of the way.

She earned Top Personal Interview, demonstrating her knowledge, confidence, and ability to represent the western way of life with pride.

She was also voted Miss Congeniality, one of the most meaningful honors of the competition because it comes from her fellow contestants. It speaks to the kind of young woman Emma is: kind, genuine, encouraging, and someone people naturally enjoy being around.

Emma finished the competition as 2nd Runner Up among an exceptional group of young women from across Nevada, an accomplishment she should be incredibly proud of.

And when it was time to compete in the arena, she delivered there too.

Emma ran a 16.2 in her first barrel racing performance and came back even stronger with a 16.1 in her second run.

Emma represents our Boulder City rodeo family with humility, dedication, and a genuine love for this sport. Whether she's in the interview room, serving her community, or running home to the barrels, she gives her best and makes all of us proud.

Congratulations, Emma! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what this next chapter holds!
