Every family’s journey looks different.

The school year doesn’t always unfold the way we expect, and that’s okay. Sometimes circumstances change, children have different needs than anticipated, or families simply realize a different learning environment would be a better fit.

At Boulder City Christian School, we understand that transitions happen. If at any point during the school year you decide your family needs a change, we’re here to welcome you with open arms.

We welcome new student enrollment throughout the school year and would be honored to partner with your family in providing a Christ-centered education where children are known, loved, challenged, and encouraged to grow in both faith and learning.

Boulder City Christian School is looking for an exceptional teacher to help us build something special from the ground up.

We’re seeking an educator who sees the junior high years as an incredible season of growth—a time when curiosity, confidence, character, and faith take root.

Our ideal candidate is:

✨ A licensed teacher with the education, training, and experience to lead a dynamic junior high classroom.
✨ Passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
✨ Skilled at designing engaging, standards-based curriculum that sparks curiosity and challenges students to think deeply.
✨ Creative in developing meaningful learning experiences through discussion, exploration, hands-on activities, collaboration, and discovery.
✨ Confident leading a combined 6th–8th grade classroom, meeting students at their individual levels while creating a strong, connected classroom community.
✨ Organized, adaptable, and excited to help shape and grow a developing junior high program.
✨ Committed to partnering with families and cultivating a Christ-centered learning environment where students are known, challenged, and encouraged.

A lot can happen when you give an experienced kindergarten teacher an empty classroom and we’re already seeing it come to life! 👀📚✏️

Meet Mrs. Connie Ybarra, the teacher behind this exciting transformation and the educator helping us build something truly special at Boulder City Christian School!

And when we say “experienced,” we mean it. 🙌

🍎 13 years teaching Kindergarten
📚 Experience teaching across K–5
🎓 Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, with an emphasis in Creative Arts
🌟 Certified in Gifted & Talented Education
🌎 Certified in English Language Learning
👩‍🏫 4 years as a Kindergarten Mentor Teacher, helping other educators grow
📖 3 years as a Read by 3 Learning Strategist, developing data-driven literacy instruction and supporting struggling readers

Mrs. Ybarra knows that kindergarten isn’t “just kindergarten.” These early years are where children build the literacy skills, confidence, curiosity, and love of learning that everything else rests on.

That’s why her classroom is designed for more than looking cute (although… LOOK AT IT! 😍). With her background in curriculum, creative arts, literacy, science, and differentiated instruction, she creates hands-on, engaging learning experiences designed to reach the whole child.

We are SO excited to have this level of experience, creativity, and heart leading our Kindergarten classroom. 💛

From 1986–2000, Christian Center served Boulder City with a Kindergarten through 8th grade Christian school.
Now, after years of prayer, we’re picking up where we left off.
